Breakfast with Boston

Ingredients

  • One grandson
  • One grandfather
  • Some sausages
  • Grits
  • Lots of butter
  • Some eggs
  • Orange juice
  • Milk
  • Lots of maple syrup
  • Pepper

Method

We received this email from John and we reckon it's probably the best breakfast in the whole world!

When my grandson comes for a visit, we always eat some eggs, grits with lots of butter and pepper, sausage patties and sausage links.

We have to have our orange juice and milk too.

After all is cooked and ready for eating, Boston goes to the fridge and gets the maple syrup and two (2) small bowls out of the cabinet.
Boston fills up the bowls about ¾ of the way full. He is old enough to feed himself, but Papa stills helps by cutting up the sausage and eggs.

We dump the eggs over in the bowl with the grits and butter and give it a good stirring.

The sausage, we leave on a plate in front of us. We take a piece of the sausage and put it into the syrup and let it sit for a spell and after eating some grits and eggs, we eat the sausage with the Maple Syrup coated over it. We dump some more sausage in to the syrup bowl and we repeat the process, between drinking our orange juice and our milk.

Nothing is better than sausage with syrup and eating it with Boston.
